Spectacular 1976 Boston Red Sox road jersey given by Carlton Fisk directly to our consignor a long-time collector with significant access to major league clubhouses. The jersey is well-worn the stitched-on "Boston" insignia faded and peeling though Fisk's number 27 is cleaner and less faded at some point restored (during Fisk's career of course as the jersey was given by Fisk directly to our consignor). Interior tags reflect size 45 along with the year 1976 stitched onto the front shirttail. The jersey exhibits other signs of wear and use but is particularly clean and attractive. The MEARS grade of A6 is due to point reductions for the restored number (-2.5) wear to the tagging (-.5) and wear to the front lettering (-1). A very attractive but well-worn jersey being re-listed in our Summer 2018 auction due to a bidder's non-payment from our Spring auction. A fantastic early jersey from a Boston Red Sox favorite the year after his legendary World Series home run. Full LOA from MEARS.
