Christy Mathewson's history in the state of Pennsylvania is well-regarded a product of Factoryville PA who began playing semipro ball there at a very young age. Mathewson was a graduate of Bucknell University where he was class president and a member of the baseball and football teams. Though he lived his final years in the Adirondack Mountains of New York he always maintained his ties to Pennsylvania and was buried in a cemetary adjacent to his alma mater. In 1989 Bucknell dedicated its football stadium to Mathewson naming it "Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium." Presented here is a full ticket from the dedication game September 30 1989 against Dartmouth College. The ticket is in VG/EX to EX condition with square but somewhat soft corners and some mild soiling. Still an interesting Mathewson related ticket.
