The sans-serif "D" on Cobb's jersey dates the photo to 1915 or 1916 as Cobb's statistics had begun the decline from perennial .400 hitter to a merely superhuman .360-.380. The photo presents extremely well with wide white borders. A mild surface mark perhaps pencil or faded grease pencil is visible in the background aside Cobb. The reverse is blank.
