Lot Description  

1943 Letter from New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia to Yankees President Ed Barrow. Barrow was awarded a medal in 1943 for providing free tickets to various sporting and entertainment events to Armed Forces members. LaGuardia promised Barrow a special service bar would be added to his medal if five million tickets were provided. This letter asks Barrow to return his medal so that the bar can be added. Signed by LaGuardia an outstanding wartime document. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
