Among the more attractive of the regional hot dog issues the Stahl-Meyer sets feature cards of New York area players (Dodgers Giants and Yankees) each with a full-color photo set on a yellow background. Despite the attractiveness of the cards they are also susceptible to a host of condition problems due to their method of distribution (inside of packages of Stahl-Meyer hot dogs). Today the Stahl-Meyer cards are among the most scarce regional issues of the 1950s. Indeed as of this writing PSA and SGC combined have graded just 187 cards from the set and only 18 cards of Duke Snider of which just four have graded higher than GOOD 2. This example is exceptional for the grade the major flaw related to a heavy crease at the lower-right portion of the card along with overall soiling. Some other minor wrinkles are visible upon close examination but the image of Snider itself is strong and clear. An outstanding card certainly one of the finer examples you are likely to find within this grade.
