Another beautiful and seldom-seen CdV featuring Abner Doubleday in his military uniform this time with his wife Mary (incorrectly listed in our printed catalog as his daughter because well she looks so young!). This elegantly posed CdV also bears the stamp of E & H.T. Anthony from the Matthew Brady Archives and appears in VG/EX condition with some minor staining and age-related toning. Doubleday's name (& Lady) is written in the bottom border of the piece. An outstanding and decidedly non-baseball-related CdV featuring a great American general and his wife somehow sucked into this great sport that we all love so much.
