Attractive collection of five vintage tobacco packages each worn but each colorful and quite worthy of display. All but the Honest Long Cut packages are opened and empty but retain their colorful appearance. Included in the collection are the following: 1) 1887 Old Judge Cigarettes Pack: Scarce and desirably slide-and-shell package. The 1887 tax stamp on the reverse has been clearly stamped with the date May 1 1887. Some pencil writing is evident on each side of the package and it does include moderate wear at the folds and the slide-out package as well. 2) 1910-era Sweet Caporal Cigarette Pack: Attractive slide-and-shell package with vivid graphics some wear at the folds and to the box itself. Factory 42 4th District. 1910 tax stamp. Some pencil writing is evident on the reverse. 3) 1910-era Hassan Cork Tip Cigarette Pack: Slide-and-shell package which once held Hassan Cork Tip Cigarettes. Extremely well-worn and faded significant surface abrasions throughout with significant wear at the folds. 4) 1911 Recruit Little Cigars Cigarette Pack: Very attractive slide-and-shell package some pencil writing on the front the primary condition flaw. Quite sturdy the tax stamp bears a July 1 1911 overprint. Excellent condition aside from the writing. 5) Honest Long Cut Tobacco Package: Unopened loose tobacco package. The package's original cellophane has been removed but the pack is housed in what appears to be a vintage clear bag which we elected to leave wrapped around the pack due to its holding a large amount of the package's loose tobacco. The package itself displays extremely well despite this. An interesting and attractive grouping of five vintage tobacco packages highlighted by a desirable Old Judge Cigarettes box.
