Little is known about the uncatalogued issue referred to as the "Shoulderless Players" issue. The cards are printed on thin paper stock and feature portraits of each player severely cropped so that the players' shoulders are essentiallu missing. Likely dating to the early 1920s the manufacturer is unknown though it is speculated that the cards were issued as an ice cream or candy issue. The checklist is unknown. This example depicts Tris Speaker in his Cleveland Indians uniform graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to overall wear though no particular fault is glaringly obvious. The card presents well the only graded example known as of this writing with a clear image of Speaker.
