During his career Schaap earned five Emmy awards the Associate Press’ Red Smith Award and was inducted into the Nassau County Sports Hall of Fame. He passed away tragically in 2001 due to complications from hip replacement surgery. We have been fortunate enough to have received on consignment a grouping of documents photos awards manuscripts and scrapbooks that originated with Schaap’s estate. Very little can explain the phenomenon that was Bo Jackson to those who were not there to appreciate it. The hype was amazing and the talent was there to back it up. "Bo Knows Bo" was Jackson's autobiography co-authored with Dick Schapp and published in 1990. Presented here is a three-ring binder containing Schaap's personal manuscript which includes corrections notes and scratched-out sections. Simply an incredible piece an original author's manuscript of the autobiography of Bo Jackson.
