Attractive and colorful S110 pillowcase premium featuring baseball players Christy Mathewson Home Run Baker Tris Speaker Ty Cobb and Marty O'Toole. These colorful pillowcases could be obtained by mail in exchange for redemption coupons found in packages of Helmar and Turkey Red tobacco products. The iconic images on the pillowcase are identical to those used on the players' T3 Turkey Red cabinets a logical result of being part of the same campaign. The S110 pieces are of course far more scarce and desirable as they were more difficult to obtain in their day and subject to more rigorous use and wear when distributed. Overall this is a colorful example that has held up well but does exhibit signs of wear consistent with its intended use. Visible staining and discoloration is evident particularly at close inspection. Still the display characteristics are wonderful. The entire piece has been professionally matted and framed to a finished size of 27" x 27" and the result is stunning a beautiful and scarce prewar artifact featuring classic images of four of the era's greatest players - and Marty O'Toole.
