Pair of attractive blue-background cards from the M116 Sporting Life issue including Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan. The blue-background cards from the issue are considerably more scarce than the pastel counterparts and appear to be the result of a reprinting of the first 24 cards of the issue. The blue cards are highly desirable rarely found in groups unless being sold as a complete set. The Davis card has been graded VG+ 45 by SGC and frankly appears quite undergraded exhibiting the characteristics of many cards we have seen in holders a grade and a half higher. The Bresnahan is accurated graded as GOOD 30 some mild discolorations at the lower portion of the card and a diagonal corner crease at the upper-left. Two particularly scarce examples from an underrated issue.
