I have one to sell!
"The Rock" was an all-time great mooch going wherever the money was whenever he could. He had three training camps because it game him three sponsors: Grossinger Hotel in New York Holland Furnace in Michigan and Calistoga California for a water company. Two training camp programs are offered here: The first a general program sold at each camp contains a full-color image of the champ on the front with a rubber-stamped facsimile autograph as well as the autographs of manager Al Weill and boxing impresario Jim Norris (both Hall of Famers). Also included are signatures of two heavyweights Felix Antonio and Alex Brown. This version can be dated to 1954-55 based on the record on the reverse including the 1954 Ezzard Charles defense. The second program considerably more difficult to find than the general one is from the Marciano Training Camp of April 3-May 15 1955 at Calistoga California for the Don Cockett fight in San Francisco - Rocky's next-to-last title defense. Also included is a 1952 boxing scorecard from a Brockton MA fundraiser for Mayor Gerald Lucey who was endorced by Brockton native Marciano. Finally a classic 5x7" Marciano publicity photo. An excellent collection of memorabilia related to one of the most popular fighters of his or any era. Four pieces total.
