One of an exceptional grouping of cabinet photos that we are breaking into individual lots featuring members of the 1896 Cornell football squad. Under coach Joe Beacham the program then in its 10th season finished with a 5-3 record behind Yale and Harvard for third place in their Independent conference. Virtually all of the players are unidentified unless specifically noted each grading in the VG/EX range with photos appearing NM and edge and corner wear to the mounts. Specific condition issues are noted in the individual descriptions of each of the photos. An excellent assortment of early Ivy League football cabinets. A clean image with only minor blemishes to the photo and mount with some pronounced chipping at the bottom-right corner and what appears to be ink markings or foxing along the bottom edge of the mount itself.
