Gargantuan folk-art bat measuring 36" long by 3" wide at the barrel far too large and heavy to swing in actual game play. Unlike traditional bats which are turned on a lathe this bat appears to be constructed of planks of wood cut and glued together somehow then finished to a sheen. The bottle-style bat does show evidence of use likely in small-time amateur games (the bat would certainly shatter under competitive use) and the handle has cracked significantly likely from that use. Still an attractive decorative piece likely dating to the turn of the century.
