Issued between 1910 and 1912 the P2 Sweet Caporal set includes 152 players and many variations making quite the challenge for even the most persistent collectors. Measuring at 7/8 inch in diameter these pins feature excellent black and white images of the most popular baseball players of the era and borrow most images from the T205 tobacco set. This pairing of P2 pins features Hall of Fame member Frank Chance and popular Black Sox player Ed Cicotte infamous for his role in assisting in the throwing of the 1919 World Series and subsequent banishment from Major League Baseball. Both samples technical grades match with their true conditions showing only minor wear that is consistent with PSA’s assessment.
