Attractive 1963 Newswire photo depicting Sandy Koufax along with Carl Erskine. Koufax would win the World Series MVP in 1963 winning two games and giving up just three runs striking out the first five batters in Game 1. Koufax would ultimately break Erskine's World Series strikeout record by fanning 15 in that game and would strike out eight more in his Game 4 victory. The AP wire photo is in GOOD condition with some creasing at the corners (particularly the lower-right) along with some mild discoloration. Still an excellent photo memorializing one of the great postseason pitching performances of all-time.
