More than 80 years later the 1932 World Series remains the stuff of legend due to Babe Ruth's dramatic "Called Shot" in Game 3 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. This exceptional season pass issued to Mr. Edward Barth covered the entire season led by pitchers Lon Warneke (22-6) and Guy Bush (19-11) and future Hall of Famers Gabby Hartnett Billy Herman Kiki Cuyler and Player/Manager Rogers Hornsby. It would be difficult to believe that this pass wasn't present at the legendary World Series game (Ruth actually hit two home runs in the game) or Game 4 where the Yankees completed their sweep with a 13-6 Yankee victory that included a pair of homers by Tony Lazzeri and another by Earle Combs. Despite some age-related toning/soiling consistent with use (another name appears to have been rubbed off the front of the pass) the pass presents extremeley well save for a spot of back damage unquestionably caused by scrapbook removal. As is the case with so many hobby relics the scrapbook is both a blessing and a curse as its removal caused irreparable damage and yet protected the pass from more significant damage. A wonderful piece.
