Pair of vintage issues of Sport signed by Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn. Highlighted by the August 1961 issue which chronicles Spahn"s chase for 300 wins (which he attained in a game against the Cubs that very month the first player to reach the 300 plateau since Lefty Grove 20 years prior). The issue is in good condition with some wear and a fea folds but display sextremely well Spahn"s signature in vivid blue Sharpie. Also included is the October 1959 issue which suffers from extreme wear including seriously frayed edges writing and pen scratches and considerable fading. The publication has separated at the spine and has been repaired by Scotch tape. At the same time Spahn"s signature is strong and legible on the cover.
