Exceptional collection of nine news service photos each featuring a baseball Hall of Famer some "pre-rookie" images and the remainder "rookie" photos. Though the photos are in varying conditions they all present well and exhibit the telltale signs of newsroom usage. Collection includes: 1) 1939 Early Wynn - 5" x 7" rookie photo includes slug on the reverse excellent condition with newsroom markings. 2) 1922 Fred Lindstrom - 5" x 7" "pre-rookie" photo depicting the shortstop in street clothes coming off his 1921 season with the Loyola Academy team having just signed with the Giants. 3) 1935 Johnny Mize - depicted in 1934 with the Rochester team prior to joining the Cincinnati Reds. VG/EX condition with slug attached various newsroom markings and stamps on the reverse. 4) 1928 Leo Durocher - AP photo depicting Durocher in Yankees uniform crop marks visible on the front. GOOD condition upper-right corner clip slug and newsroom markings on the reverse along with a modern bar code decal of some sort. 5) 1920 Waite Hoyt - 6 1/2" x 9 1/2" NEA photo depicting Hoyt in a Boston Red Sox uniform taken during Spring Training with the subtle markings of an interlocking "NY" drawn onto his cap. Several pencil markings on the reverse along with edge wear corner clip and faint wrinkles Good condition. 6) 1928 Leo Durocher - Chicago Tribune photo trimmed to 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" photographic department label and notes on reverse along with a modern bar code decal. Photo presents well but is technically in FAIR condition with considerable waviness and wrinkling. 7) 1954 Nestor Chylak - Sporting News 8" x 10" photo VG condition with some moderate discoloration waviness and some light wrinkling. 8) 1954 Whitey Ford - news service photo depicting Ford with Kansas City EX condition - what appears to be a tear at the left edge of the photo is actually a white line that is in the photo itself. 9) 1956 Luis Aparicio - 8"x 10" news service photo depicting the Hall of Fame shortstop in White Sox uniform. Significant newsroom markings grease pencil and newspaper clips on the reverse along with a modern bar code decale. Otherwise VG/EX. Nine photos total.
