Hard-a-Port was one of three tobacco brands that offered risque playing cards toward the end of the 19th Century. All three brands utilized the same artwork with the Hard-a-Port cards thought to have been designed by Lindner Eddy & Clauss Co in New York featuring an advertising stamp of one of several tobacco distributors. The cards today are quite desirable and difficult to find. Presented here is a complete 52-card set plus "the little joker." Each of the cards present extremely well the ornately (and scantily) clad models each displaying the appropriate amount of flesh for the era formal dress by today's standards but certainly off-color for the 1800s. Condition is a mixed bag as these were playing cards and were clearly used for their intended purpose(s). That being said the condition is not an indicator of visual appeal as the cards are extremely attractive. 53 cards total.
