Extremely attractive midgrade card of the Yankee Clipper graded VG-EX 4 by PSA due to centering along with some very mild surface soiling. The 1948 Leaf issue is one of the first national baseball card issues released after the war and kicking the set off with one of the game's most popular players was a masterstroke on Leaf's part; even with the Paige and Robinson rookie cards included in the set the DiMaggio remains one of the issue's most popular and easily one of DiMaggio's most important cards. The eye appeal of this card is particularly strong within the grade; while centering is always a factor top-to-bottom centering is typically less important among money collectors and the eye appeal of this example is consistent with that of a higher-grade card.
