Gorgeous bright midgrade Sport Kings card of professional surfer Duke Kahanamoku. America's first "extreme" sports star Kahanamoku won the Gold Medal in the 100-meter freestyle in the 1912 Stockholm Olympics and won two more gold medals in the 1920 Olympics. He won a silver medal in the 1924 Olympics and played on the 1932 Olympic water polo team. During this time he traveled internationally to give swimming exhibitions popularizing the sport of surfing along the way. He was also an actor appearing in several films while living in California in the 1920s. He as the first person inducted into the Swimming and Surfing Halls of Fame and is also a member of the US Olympic Hall of Fame.
