According to T206Resource.com the Carolina Brights back variety is the 9th most scarce among all the T206 back varieites. More scarce than Brown Hindu American Beauty 460 and even the highly desirable Piedmont Factory 42 back Carolina Brights have been leading the way in the rare-back craze that has been propelling the T206 market for the last year. This example of Giants" outfielder Red Murray has been graded FR 1.5 by PSA clearly due to the significant staining on the front along with the crease that runs diagonally across the card.Still despite the obvious flaws the card presents well particularly because the important part of this card is the reverse. While the reverse does exhibit some staining and discoloration it does not detract from the ornate Carolina Brights design as much as it would if it exhibited the same sort of staining we see on the card obverse. The more pronounced staining lies on the card edges. An outstanding lower-grade example of a difficult back at a time when rare backs are taking the hobby by storm.Population DataPSA Population: 1 total graded 1 at this level 0 higher*SGC Population: 2 total graded 0 at this level 2 higher*Please note that PSA just recently began to differentiate between T206 back variations in their population reports so it is entirely possible that other examples of this card may have been graded by PSA and classified in their pop reports as "unknown back."
