Another card from the legendary Lionel Carter collection of the 1909 Orioles of the Eastern League. Little is known about the outfielder who never played a game in the majors but posted a solid minor league career across 11 seasons. He concluded his career in 1941 with Trenton of the Tri-State League hitting .324 in 410 at bats accumulating a .288 lifetime batting average with nearly 1 100 hits.The card itself presents well as one would expect from the great majority of cards in the Lionel Carter collection. The hobby legend collected from the mid 1930s until his unfortunate passing seeking out the highest-grade examples he could find. His T206 set was broken up and we have acquired a consignment of several T206 cards from the collection. We have elected to sell them individually in hopes that multiple collectors can bid and own a card from a hobby pioneer.
