Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA Type I photo of Jim Thorpe smiling and happy despite wearing an Indian headdress and vest in this staged promotional photo. Similar to another photo featured in this auction as well as his famous 1930s Exhibit card this particular photo is in VG condition with little wear beyond the edge and corner wear consistent with the grade with the exception of a slight tear at the top edge. The reverse is heavy with stamps newspaper clips and production notes.
