Beautiful example of the "Batting" pose of Hall of Famer Honus Wagner from the scarce E105 Mello-Mint Gum issue of 1910. E105 cards are difficult to find with no complete graded sets registered on either SGC or PSA Registries. The Wagner cards are along with Cobb and Mathewson keys to the set a condition-sensitive enough issue that just one Wagner has been graded higher than the GOOD 30 assessment of this card by SGC. Age-related wear and some very faint creasing are responsible for the grade here though the initial presentation appears at the VG+ level due to a relatively clean surface and rich bold color. While E105s are notorious for a single vertical crease down the center of the card (speculation is that the cards were folded so they could fit in the packs) this card displays no egregious flaws of that nature; a fine example of one of the most important cards of a scarce and desirable issue.
