Three New York Yankees season passes for 1941 1942 and 1943 as issued to Violet Dickey wife of Yankees Hall of Fame catcher Bill Dickey. Those three seasons marked the beginning of World War II but Dickey played all three his military service occurring in 1944 and 1945. For all practical purposes the 1941-43 seasons were Dickey's last; he managed 156 plate appearances in 1946 but by that season had been replaced by Aaron Robinson who held down the position until Yogi Berra took it in 1948. Each of the three passes has been signed by "Mrs. William Dickey " each identifying their address as the Concourse Plaza Hotel in New York. The passes present well but technically grade in the GOOD to FAIR range due to creasing and soiling along with some smudging to the ink areas of the passes. An outstanding collection of war era Yankees memorabilia each belonging to the wife of Hall of Fame catcher Bill Dickey. Three pieces total.
