Official scorecard for an inter-city game between the Philadelphia Athletics and Phillies at Shibe Park. Measuring 7 1/8" x 11 1/4" the piece is larger than most game programs from the era and pictures an aerial view of Shibe Park on the cover. The unscored interior includes both team rosters which includes Hall of Famer Richie Ashburn hitting leadoff for the Phillies. Age-related wear and toning are evident throughout with some very minor pencil markings on the scorecard simply adjusting the starting lineups of the Phillies (though the game has not been scored). An interesting piece marking one of the many "Mayor's Trophy" types of games played between teams who did battle for bragging rights in cities with more than one ballclub.
