Each of the card versos feature illustrated diagrams to help youngsters improve their baseball fundamentals.The rarity of these cards in high grade cannot be properly described as the oversized photos were printed on flimsy thin paper. The cards are generally susceptible to general corner and edge wear along with folds pinholes and tape marks from Depression-era youngsters displaying the cards on their walls. Van Meter Iowa"s most famous export Feller was one of the game"s greatest young stars by 1939 when he began a run of three straight 20-win seasons interrupted only by his military service. After his return he dazzled the AL with two more 20-win seasons before dropping off to 19-15 in 1948. His final career record of 266-162 fell short of 300 wins but three missed seasons (and only 9 games pitched in a fourth) due to military service was most certainly the reason for falling shy of that magic number.The card graded EX/NM 6 by SGC due to very lightly touched corners and a top-to-bottom centering issue is a beauty with a clear crisp image and little to no wear.
