We have been fortunate enough to obtain a near set of 1910 American Caramel E90-2 cards (all cards but the Wagner) for our summer auction. The cards which exclusively feature members of the World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates are largely collector-grade but still quite attractive. Much more scarce than their E90-1 counterparts the E90-2 checklist mirrors that of the E104-2 issue featuring the player"s name written in blue type. The 11 card set features very detailed high-quality player portraits much more so than most other caramel issues. Printed on thin paper the cards are difficult to find in top condition. Cards in the E90-2 set typically sell for a premium over their E90-1 cousins due to their difficulty to obtain. This is a gorgeous example of Tommy Leach"s card featuring THREE square corners and one slightly dog-eared one. The primary culprit for the low grade is a speck of paper loss on the reverse not even large enough to obscure any of the type on the card back. These cards are notoriously condition-sensitive due to their fragile paper and this is a perfect example why. Otherwise a beautiful card.Population DataSGC Population: 28 total graded 9 at this level 2 higherPSA Population: 14 total graded 1 at this level 5 higher
