Oddly enough our naming convention reads as if we are calling Abe Attell by the nickname "Honest Abe." Given his involvement with the 1919 Black Sox World Series scandal nothing could be further from the truth. The card is a T227 Honest Long Cut card graded VG 40 by SGC. The baseball versions of the T227 cards are rarely found in higher grades with "higher grades" generally meaning VG or better. The cards are nearly always discovered with paper loss stains and other serious condition flaws. This example presents quite nicely though we sadly discovered the adhesive on the reverse of the holder at too late a date to have the card reholdered. Still a very attractive card.
