The cover subject is Chief Bender and the interior pages in addition to depicting various items from the D&M sporting goods catalog features images of many of the game's stars including Johnny Kling Lou Criger Ty Cobb Frank Chance Hal Chase Larry Doyle Nap Lajoie Johnny Evers Eddie Collins Home Run Baker Sam Crawford Honus Wagner Joe Tinker Al Bridwell Tris Speaker and Zack Wheat. The back of the catalog features tennis golf boxing and other sports equipment and features images of Jack Johnson Abe Attell Teddy Roosevelt and more. While the cover is clearly in poor condition the interior pages are strong and attractive the entire book remarkably sturdy and well-preserved.
