Extremely rare and important 1908 season pass to the "Greater New York Base Ball Club " better known as the Highlanders. The 1908 team finished in last place with a dismal 51-103 record. Despite the presence of Hal Chase Willie Keeler Jacke Stahl and Jack Chesbro on the roster the team was the worst in the league and a managerial change replacing Clark Griffith with Kid Elberfeld did not help. Chase wound up leaving the team late in the season amidst charges of throwing games. The pass issued to "Miss Cadiez" plus one guest was signed by team secretary Abe Nahon and remains in GOOD condition with surface and edge wear consistent with its age and manner of use. The Nahon signature is visible but quite faded with time as one would expect. The reverse is similarly well-soiled though the printing is legible. Highlanders memorabilia is highly coveted in the hobby particularly among Yankees collectors as very little has survived over the years. This is an outstanding example of Highlanders memorabilia a rare season pass from one of the hobby's most widely-collected teams.
