Exceptional 1915 postcard depicting the birthplace and childhood home of Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson. The postcard comes from the estate of Walter Johnson; the writing on the reverse is that of Hazel Lee Roberts Johnson's wife. Johnson met Hazel in the summer of 1913 married her a year later and they remained together until her passing in 1930. This postcard was mailed in November of 1915 signed "lots of love from Hazel L Johnson" (with "Johnson abbreviated). The postcard front is in exceptional condition the reverse exhibiting paper loss and remnants from scrapbook storage. A rare exceptional memento of the Johnson estate inscribed and signed by the wife of Walter Johnson.
