I have one to sell!
One of the more curious cards consigned to us at thie year's National the subject of a great deal of conversation and speculation. 1933 Goudey "Green" Babe Ruth that upon initial observation appears to be an EX-MT card off-center from left to right. A second glance reveals a bit more detail however: the card exhibits a dramatic print error the print registration significantly off. The result is a "blurry" look with at least one color pass and perhaps two printed at least an eighth of an inch higher than the rest. Ruth's cap consequently prints outside the green background of the card and into the white border; the red stripe with the "Big League Chewing Gum" brand prints well into the green background at the card bottom. The result is a technical grade of GOOD 30. It is unknown how the hobby will resopond to this: is it simply a collector-grade Ruth? Is it a print anomaly to an otherwise appealing midgrade example? Or is it a more valuable interesting print error a rare flaw to one of the issue's key cards? We leave it to the hobby community to let us know through its actions in this auction.
