Carefully sorting through a consignment of T206 cards prior to creating the listing certainly pays dividends. In this case we received a binder of various cards as part of a larger collection which was consigned to us some time ago. The collection was primarily a postwar one however there was a small number of prewar cards tucked into the back of a binder. Among them we were astonished to find this example of Jack Barry's portrait card. Quite obviously missing several color passes the edges of this card suggest it was hand-cut though the back was clearly printed with the Piedmont 350 ad. Heavy paper loss on the reverse suggests scrapbook mounting though this card was surely never circulated. Print anomalies such as this have become highly sought-after by T206 collectors. This example is obviously fresh to the hobby a hand-cut card never intended to make it out of the factory more than a century ago.
