Interesting postcard-sized advertising card from Loew's American Theatre on 42nd Street in New York promoting the theatre's showing of the 1905 World Series - "Every Detail of the Game That's worth while Will be shown" trumpets the piece. The large (more than 2 000 seats) theatre was one of the largest in the City of its time opening in the spring of 1893 and closing in 1929. Demolished in the 1930s the location was for a long time a parking lot though an office building has been constructed on the site. In 1905 however you could follow the World Series there as advertised on this interesting card which technically grades in FAIR condition due to corner wear mild creasing and toning.
