One of the most popular players of his era the "Portrait Yellow Background" card of Hall of Famer Frank Chance is one of the most commonly-seen cards in the T206 issue. The famed Conlon image has graced many cards and portraits of Chance over the years but this T206 is likely the most memorable a classic image of one of the game's greats. The Cycle 460 reverse is what lends this card scarcity; despite the condition and SGC's GOOD+ 35 grade there are few examples of this card that have found their way to the hobby. Mild creasing across the front and an upper-left corner clip are primarily responsible for the grade though the card displays very well regardless. The card reverse is clean and vivid. A review of the population reports as they currently stand make it difficult for us to determine how many Cycle 460 Frank Chance Yellow Portraits have been graded. Our best assessment is that there are six graded by SGC (with two higher than this) and two by PSA (one higher) though a great number of "unknown back" Chance cards assessed by PSA could suggest others are in circulation. Regardless this is an exceptionally scarce card of a popular Hall of Famer.
