Graded AUTHENTIC by SGC this Walter Johnson is has been graded AUTHENTIC by SGC. Though the left and right edges of the card still show the dotted line borders indicating that it was properly cut from its strip the bottom edge appears wavy indicating that the bottom border was probably trimmed away slightly with a scissor cut at some point in the card"s life. With strip cards rarely were cuts made to deceive - the cards were actually meant to be cut and it is not uncommon to see them in "AUTHENTIC" holders today simply because 1920s youngsters were not as careful with their cards as the collectors of today.The Johnson card is strong with some wrinkling at the upper right that is barely visible due to the card"s deep orange background.
