Absolutely stunning panoramic photograph which measures approximately 17" x 4 1/2" and is matted and framed to a finished size of 25" x 12 1/2" in what appears to be a vintage frame. The photo is wonderfully crisp and clear and features a number of Hall of Famers and stars including Eddie Collins (HOF) Rube Oldring Harry Krause Harry Davis Home Run Baker (HOF) Jack Coombs Connie Mack (HOF) Chief Bender (HOF) Cy Morgan Eddie Plank (HOF) Jack Barry Bris Lord Stuffy McInnis Topsy Hartsel and the team mascot. The team beat the New York Giants in the 1911 World Series behind its "$100 000 infield" of McInnis Collins Barry and Baker. Each player is handsomely outfitted in his "White Elephant" team sweater with striped pillbox caps - except of course manager Connie Mack standing tall in the center wearing his typical suit and hat. The technical grade of the photo itself is likely fair as some surface abrasions and minor staining are present but none interfere with the outstanding aesthetic appeal of the photo. While the frame does exhibit some moderate chipping this only adds to its vintage appeal the sharp image quality being the photo's most important virtue.
