Exceptional handwritten letter from "Wahoo" Sam Crawford with outstanding baseball content. Letter exhibits considerable wear and marks from clear tape around the edges though the majority of the content and signature appears very strong with no fading. The letter reads as follows: "Pearblosson Calif July 14 - 54 Dear Fred- A line to say that I have received your letter and list of players with wrong addresses. Sure does bring back memories of the old days. Plenty of them have passed on. We still think that our days of baseball was the best. I think the records prove it. I have sent your letter on to Win Clark and you will probably hear from him. They may have the right addresses for those players. I hope everything is going along fine at the Museum and that you are enjoying life every day. With all good wishes I remain Sincerely Wahoo Sam Crawford I was much pleased that you enjoyed the card." The letter is accompanied by a full LOA from James Spence Authentication. An excellent letter from Hall of Famer Sam Crawford discussing the process of tracking down other former ballplayers and his opinion that the "old days" were the best days - as many of us still do.
