The practice of mounting trading cards in scrapbooks was a very popular one in the late 19th Century; the result is bittersweet for collectors today. While such scrapbooking often preserved card surfaces and edges in excellent condition the removal of the cards often resulted in paper loss and other forms of back damage. This card which has been graded POOR 10 by SGC due to the type of back damage to which we refer presents much more strongly on the surface close to VG. A lovely card with a classic image.
