Lot Description  

John Montgomery Ward was one of the most popular players of his day depicted here on pose #478-8 in the N172 issue. Some sort of white stain - perhaps paper loss or ink - obscures the "NY" on the card but does little to mask the quality of the image an excellent example of what is likely to be an affordable 19th Century Hall of Famer.
