This partial uncut panel of 1934 World Wide Gum cards features 12 different cards and has 7 Hall of Fame members pictured! Uncut panels of cards from this period are very scarce and samples with Hall of Famers are extremely coveted making this an absolutely awesome piece! This panel consists of the following cards: Joe Kuhel Bill Terry (HOF) Lefty Grove (HOF) Jimmy Foxx (HOF) Mickey Cochrane (HOF) Willie Kamm Frank Frisch (HOF) Alvin Crowder Frank Hogan Arky Vaughn (HOF) Carl Hubbell (HOF) and Hugh Critz. The sheet is elegantly framed to a finished size of 16 1/2" x 20" with glass on both sides so that the front and back can both be viewed. A light scratch is visible at the bottom of the glass on the matte. Additionally the framer has left a one inch clear space between the edge of the sheet and the black matte so that the entire sheet is clearly visible. The result is a beautiful presentation. This uncut panel does have some staining resulting from water damage creasing (particularly along the top three cards which are heavily creased) and overall wear. Despite these imperfections this panel of uncut cards remains vibrant in color and is a superb piece that would be warmly welcomed into any Goudey or World Wide Gum collection. The World Wide Gum cards are typically more scarce than their Goudey counterparts and panels or sheets even more so. Pieces of this rarity and player selection rarely show for public auction making this a rare opportunity to acquire something so phenomenal.
