This SGC 10 1888 Old Judge Cigarettes N173 cabinet card of Tom Deasley with a brown mount like the previous lot (291) is a sharp-looking example of a scarce variation within an already very challenging set. Unlike most N173 Old Judge baseball cards this particular card is printed on a dark mount making for not only a striking presentation via breaking away from the typical beige mounts but also creating a real rarity. Very few known N173 cards are known with such deep brown mounts. The card itself exhibits general wear to its front including wear to the corners scuffing red staining and a lighter image.
