Fred Pfeffer stands like a giant in front of the city of Chicago in this stunning N173 Old Judge baseball cabinet card graded an SGC “Authentic." As in the previous two lots (291 and 292) this N173 of Pfeffer is a rarity within an already rare set due to the color of its mount. Unlike the other previous two lots though this card breaks away from a chocolate-brown mount and instead shows yet another color variation in the set a deep olive-colored mount. Overall this card’s front presents nicely with only minor wear to the photo itself and some creasing and tearing on the top border. Like many cards from the period this N173 of Pfeffer was at one point likely mounted into an album in order to be preserved. Unfortunately upon removal from the album the back layer of the card was stripped away. As a result SGC graded this card as authentic but skinned. Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE
