When dealing with issues as rare as the 1915 Schmelzer's Sporting Goods pinbacks type collectors (or set builders if any are bold enough to try) cannot typically concern themselves with condition. Around fifty specimens are known to exist from this set with several subjects represented by just one known example. Presented here is one of just three graded examples depicting catcher Hank Gowdy graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Virtually unblemished the celluloid button is a brilliant creamy white with full gloss and virtuallky no wear. An absolutely beautiful pinback from one of the hobby's most rare sets.
