Spectacularly clear photograph depicting Oakland Oaks catcher Mickey LaLonge circa 1908/09. Measuring 8 1/2" x 11" the photo is not a cabinet photo but has been mounted on heavy board behind a cardboard matte (which has become detached but can easily be repaired). The image quality is outstanding with some very minor foxing and some slight scuffing above LaLonge's head but nothing of consequence. LaLonge played with several teams in the Pacific Coast League between 1908 and 1911 playing nearly 1 000 games over a lengthy minor league career. LaLonge was featured in several PCL baseball card issues between 1909 and 1912 including the Obak issues the T4 Obak cabinet issue the 1911 Big Eater set the D310 and D311 Pacific Coast Biscuit sets and both the 1911 and 1912 Zeenut issue.
