I have one to sell!
Extraordinary oversized cabinet photo measuring approximately 13 1/2" x 11" with the mount featuring the 1905 Springfield Ponies of the Connecticut State League. The Ponies were a Class B minor league team that featured several players who would go on to varying degrees of major league success including Dave Alitzer (front row right) who would go on to have a six-year career in the majors; Steamer Flanagan (middle row left) who had a cup of coffee with the 1905 Pirates; Fred Crolius (middle row second from left) who played parts of two seasons in 1901 and 1902 with Boston and Pittsburgh; and Paddy O'Connor (we believe middle row third from right) who had a six-year career as a backup catcher with the Pirates. The quality of this image is stunning with near-perfect contrast to the point where we can nearly read the uniform of a tiny player way off in the distance by the grandstand while under magnification. The photo is EX-MT condition due to some mild surface wear and toning on the edges; the mount exhibits some wear but is ultimately an excellent protector of the photo itself. A beautiful piece.
