I have one to sell!
With its crisp close-up photography and simplistic design the 1957 Topps set is one of the most beautiful postwar baseball sets ever produced. Its popularity remains high among vintage collectors due to the beauty of the design as well as the strength of the player selection. Several years ago an assortment of uncut "panels" from the 1957 set were made available for direct sale at the National after being acquired by one of the hobby auction houses. Some were creased and worn but some were in relatively pristine condition. The examples featuring Hall of Famers sold quickly with the others taking a bit longer but within a few days the panels had been absorbed into the hobby. This panel is one of the pristine ones and features two Hall of Famers: Duke Snider and Al Kaline sandwiched on either side of the Cardinals' Wilmer Mizell. The color of the piece is spectacular and the edges and corners are very strong with a slight rough cut to the right edge of the Kaline card. The reverse is clean. A beautiful companion piece from a popular postwar set.
